Theme weeks

It isn't easy for working parents to make childcare arrangements during the holidays because, in addition to kindergarten and school, lunchtime clubs and day care centres are often also closed. Therefore, the kihz Foundation is running holiday weeks for the children of university personnel (UZH, ETHZ, PHZH). All-day childcare will be provided during these weeks.

There are two offers planned to run in parallel for different age groups.
Each week will be devoted to a theme which the children will experience on a multi-sensory basis. The themes will be targeted equally at their motor skills, creativity, intellect and sense of curiosity. >> Check the program

• Age group Kindergarten: approx. 4-to-7-year-olds
  Age group Schule: approx. 7-to11-year-olds
• Group sizes: 12  to 32 children, one carer per 8 children, minimum 2 carers
• School holidays: spring (each one week), summer (each tree weeks), autumn (each one week)
• Childcare times: 8:30 am–5:30 pm (including lunch)
  No individual times for bringing and collecting children (except for visits to the doctor).
  
• Location: Locations differ from course to course and depend on the number of registered children; this means that they are not yet fixed.
  Please be aware that the two age groups are cared for in different locations!
• Costs: Parents working at UZH, ETHZ and PHZH contribute to the costs based on their financial ability, external parents pay full. >> Costs
  
• Letter to parents: You will be informed of all the details in our letter to parents 2 weeks before the start of the course.
• Priority: Priority is given to the children of UZH, ETHZ and PHZH personnel.
  The applications will be dealt with in the order in which they are received.
• Terms: The “kihz Foundation” reserves the right to change the terms offered, although any such changes will be published as quickly as possible.
